The rate chart below provides licensing guidelines for reproducing GEOPIX works in foreign language (non-English) international magazine editions that are editorial products. These magazines may be published weekly, monthly, quarterly or even annually. They contain news, articles and features on current events or special interest topics. While produced independent of outside influences, they may contain editorial opinions and are supported by a paid circulation base and paid advertisements. Factors affecting editorial rates in foreign magazines
The photography licensing rates quoted are calculated based on specific criteria, including use, reproduction size, placement, circulation (press run), distribution (local, national, international), length of display time, uniqueness of the image, and production costs. Generally, editorial magazine rates are higher than newspaper rates (but not always). Unless otherwise requested and defined in the written copyright license, images are made available for one-time, non-exclusive, three-month use for foreign language, international print editions. All other rights are reserved and photographer George Wedding always retains full copyright ownership.

Other fees
Research, digital processing, CD-burning, transmission and other fees may apply. Some publications request first-time use or exclusive use (for a limited period), instead of the standard 90-day license.

6-MONTH: Add 25% of base rate 1-YEAR: Add 50% 2-YEAR: Add 100%

Payment
The copyright license you receive is your contract. Terms, rates, fees and other uses can be negotiated and added to the license as needed. All prices are quoted in U.S. dollars. Payments must be received before publication, unless otherwise noted in your copyright license. The invoice payment may be made in the form of a check or foreign draft made payable (in U.S. dollars) to George Wedding / GEOPIX.

Payment via wire-transfer, directly to my U.S. bank account, also is accepted (this service is available through Citibank in some countries). However, a bank transfer fee is required for international purchases paid using wire transfers. Your company is responsible for this bank charge, and this may not be deducted from the invoice total or the amount paid to my account. I suggest using the following formula when estimating a bank transfer fee:

About the photographer and the work
Creative works by photographer George M. Wedding are available for licensing in exchange for commercial fees through GEOPIX. George Wedding warrants that he is the original creator, owner or legal licensee of works delivered to clients. His unique, high-quality, original photographs are created for the professional publishing market and not available through commercial sources, such as picture agencies or clip art collections, although some may be held in museums, galleries and private collections. Signed releases are on file for many, but not all images. Those destined for publication are delivered as digital files at requested resolutions, in standard file formats. Nikon D1x digital cameras, or Nikon film cameras and an aging but reliable, professional-quality Leafscan 45 film scanner are used to produce the digital files.
