ABOUT THE SITE: A note from
the photographer
MARCH, 2003
The GEOPIX Web site is launched! However,
it remains a work-in-progress. Long after the initial
Internet bubble grew and burst, I'm learning .html,
Macromedia Dreamweaver and even a little JavaScript.
The site is organized into six major sections: Home,
Gallery, Services, Licensing & Rates, GEOPIX
Tech and About
GEOPIX. The sections
are self-explanatory, however, the Gallery,
Services, GEOPIX Tech
and parts of the Licensing
& Rates sections
remain under construction, with some navigation
links (dimmed and in gray) unfinished.
I'm grateful to friends, advisors
who've helped with the launch:
Lee
Hinde of HD
Industries in Sacramento is a longtime friend
and Web mentor who provides host servers for this
site. When he's not developing custom business databases
for networks and the Web, he helpfully answers calls
about .html, JavaScript and life. Other contributors
include photographer, teacher and entrepeneur John
Palmer of Astro
Images, storied picture editor Sandra
Eisert, who provided key design feedback
and Aaron Terrazas,
Aaron
Matthew Interactive, a rocking
Web designer who
introduced me to .html and Dreamweaver,
and whose Flash
animations inspire me. Finally, my longtime significant
other, Loretta Kalb,
a writer with one of my former employers, The
Sacramento Bee, provides unlimited support
in ways far too numerous to recount.
Thanks to all.
