ABOUT GEOPIX

| GEOPIX is the Web site
of George Wedding, an award-winning freelance photographer
based in Elk Grove, CA, near Sacramento. He has
over 25 years of publishing experience and has worked
as a picture editor, art director and director of
photography. In 2001, he returned to a photographic
career after editing and consulting for fifteen
years.

Wedding
has even written extensively on digital imaging technology
for various photographic and publishing industry trade
publications and Web sites (right) such as creativepro.com,
PEI (Photo Electronic
Imaging) and Digital
Camera magazines, and the Photoflex
Web Photo School. See the links to some of
his writings on imaging technology, above. Also, he
authored An Introduction
to Digital Photo Imaging, a 32-page booklet
published by Agfa in 1994, and has consulted on calibration,
color management, and picture editing for a diverse
range of firms, including Apple
Computer, Eastman Kodak, Nikon USA, Hughes Electronics,
the U.S. Department of Defense, and the U.S.
8th Army in Korea. Other technology consulting
clients have included The
San Jose Mercury-News, Orange County Register,
Gannett Newspapers
and Old World Christmas
in Spokane, Washington.

He edited and designed the picture book Yosemite:
A landscape of life, below, by Pultizer Prize
winning photographer Jay Mather and writer Dale Maharidge
for The Yosemite Association.
He also has been a picture editor for several books
produced by Collins Publishers,
Inc. and Epicenter
Communications.
